Community Guidelines

Effective Date: May 21, 2025

SoundVent is a creative community designed for artists, fans, and creators to express themselves, share their work, and connect authentically. These Community Guidelines outline what is and isn’t allowed on SoundVent so we can maintain a safe, inspiring, and respectful environment for everyone.

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent account bans.

1. Respect Others

We do not tolerate:

• Harassment, bullying, stalking, or coordinated attacks
• Hate speech or slurs targeting protected characteristics
• Threats of violence or physical harm
• Personal insults intended to degrade, shame, or intimidate

Everyone deserves respect. Keep interactions constructive and kind.

2. No Spam, Scams, or Manipulation

Prohibited behavior includes:

• Spam, deceptive promotions, “follow trains,” or fake engagement schemes
• Buying/selling followers, likes, or comments
• Phishing, impersonation scams, or fraudulent offers
• Posting misleading links or malicious software

If it feels sketchy, it isn’t allowed.

3. Protect Intellectual Property

Only upload content you created or have the rights to share. Unauthorized use of copyrighted music, images, videos, logos, or trademarks is prohibited.

If we receive a valid DMCA notice, we will remove the content and may restrict repeat infringers.

4. Stay Within the Law

SoundVent may not be used to engage in or promote illegal activity, including:

• Inciting violence or criminal acts
• Selling prohibited goods or unlawful merchandise
• Sharing explicit or pornographic content involving minors
• Promoting self-harm or dangerous behavior

We may report illegal activity to authorities where required.

5. Platform Integrity

Do not attempt to:

• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
• Scrape user data or bypass access controls
• Reverse-engineer our systems or APIs
• Disrupt service availability or performance

Help keep SoundVent safe and stable for everyone.

6. Identity & Authenticity

Impersonating individuals, artists, public figures, or brands is prohibited. Satire and parody are allowed only if clearly labeled.

Do not misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliations in ways that may mislead or harm others.

7. Graphic or Sensitive Content

To protect the community, the following content is restricted or prohibited:

• Graphic violence or gore
• Explicit sexual content or pornography
• Depictions of self-harm or suicide
• Content intended to shock, disturb, or traumatize viewers

8. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated music, artwork, or media is allowed, but must comply with copyright rules, impersonation policies, and all other guidelines. Do not mislead users by presenting AI-generated content as human-created when doing so would cause confusion or harm.

9. Messaging & Interactions

Private messages are for real conversation—not harassment, spam, or unsolicited advertising. We may review messages if:

• A user reports abuse
• We detect suspicious behavior
• Required by law

10. Reporting & Enforcement

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes appropriate action. Severe or repeated violations may lead to permanent account removal.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion to protect the SoundVent community.

11. Community Spirit

SoundVent exists to uplift artists, celebrate creativity, and bring music communities together. Use the platform in ways that inspire, include, and support others.
